Clicker Training

Whether you've introduced a new puppy or kitten into your home, you'd like to have your closest companion learn a few new tricks, or you're dealing with some behavioural concerns with your fluffy pal, clicker training is a wonderful tool to include in your pouch.

As a positive reinforcement tool, the clicker identifies or marks the behaviour we are looking for, which means you don't have to reward the very instant a behaviour occurs. This is especially helpful when working on behaviours where you can't provide an instantaneous reward such as stay.

I use my clicker very intuitively, guided by the animals I work with and what I have found works for me, but Karen Pryor's book is a great resource to learn the foundations in order for you to go on your own journey with this process.
