Do all animals enjoy Bowen?

I often am asked if all my patients enjoy their Bowen treatment, often when I am wrangling a wriggly puppy, speaking calmly to a senior pet in pain, or trying to win over a suspicious feline. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I always like to take my time, which is why in certain circumstances I have meet and greet sessions with no charge, where I invite the animal to feel more comfortable around me, and give us an opportunity to get to know each other, particularly for reactive animals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The gentle nature of Bowen supports my philosophy and in cases of severe pain or discomfort, I will implement more treatments with very little intensity in order to maximise the benefit of the treatment through calm and understanding application. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Even for my most disgruntled patients, the puppies who won’t stay still, or those in extreme pain, I find after a session or two our animal friends recognise how good they feel after a treatment and so will sit calmly, ask for a bit more, or fall gently asleep.
